FAQ

Why is a personal focus important?
To understand how all our work fits together and what we need to do, we need to be able to view the work from our perspective.  However sorting through work to determine what tasks and actions are personally relevant takes time and effort.  Me2Team automatically does this sorting and presents otherwise complex information in an easy to understand form from each user's perspective.

How is Me2Team different from project management software?
The inputs to Me2Team and other project management software are similar. However other project management software needs to be supported by many largely manual management processes (i.e. a lot of work). Me2Team automates many of these complex processes, so powerful results can be achieved fast with minimal effort.

Why does Me2Team have both Tasks and ToDo’s?
Projects need to be broken down into tasks (what needs to be done) to provide a map of how tasks fit together. Then tasks need to be broken down into ToDo’s (a list of actions that show how a task will be completed) to populate ToDo lists and show how people actually collaborate.

Why are Teams important?
Work is usually done by people working together in teams. So focusing on tasks without managing the teams doing the work leads to an approximation of what is really happening, not what is actually happening.

Why are Bar (Gantt) Charts important?
A Bar chart that shows the progress of many projects and tasks makes it easy to see where progress is not satisfactory. Automatically showing progress on the basis of ToDo’s completed show what is actually happening and eliminates the need for estimates of % complete (that often lead to confusion and arguments).
